Do you know which popular game had to be banned twice in the U.S.? Or which famous toy was accidentally invented by an engineer for NASA? Visit us this summer to learn more!

Playing cowboy is a time honored activity enjoyed by children across different cultures for close to a century. In our new exhibit “How the West Was Fun: A History of Cowboy Toys” we take you to a time before super heroes and intergalactic spacemen, when the Cowboy reigned supreme. You’ll learn about pop culture inspired by The Old West and the many toys and other promotional merchandise that were born from it.

Our G.I. Joe exhibit was guest curated by veteran and Heights resident Jason Cisneroz using his own personal collection of G.I. Joe figures and accessories.
